On May 20, the project of “Intelligent laying technology for secondary cables in substations” developed and presented by the Engineering Technology Center of State Grid Henan Economic Research Institute, won the gold medal at the 50th International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva. This is the first time that the company won the gold medal of the exhibition this year.
It is understood that the International Exhibition of Inventions in Geneva is one of the world's oldest, largest and most influential international invention exhibitions, and is listed as one of the "world's three major invention exhibitions" because of its strict selection and professional standards. The exhibition brought universities, scientific research institutions and enterprises from nearly 40 countries and regions around the world, and displayed more than 1,000 cutting-edge scientific and technological achievements covering multiple fields.
In recent years, in order to achieve the "double carbon" goal, State Grid Henan Electric Power has focused on promoting the digital transformation of the power grid, actively changing the way the power grid is built, and promoting the low-carbon and green development of the power grid. Combined with the phased progress made by 3D digital technology in the field of power transmission and transformation engineering design, State Grid Henan Electric Power deeply excavates the potential value, realizes the sharing and reuse of digital model data in the whole process of the project, further improves the level of power grid mechanization ability, and builds a modern intelligent construction mode of power grid.
In 2024, State Grid Henan Electric Power prepared to apply for the research project of "Intelligent laying technology for secondary cables in substations" by focusing on solving the current problems of low efficiency of manual laying of substation cables, high labor costs, and the damage of cables, and by completing the human-machine collaborative construction operation of cable laying based on the digital model, tackling the research and development of complete sets of automatic laying devices for substation cables, innovating the integration of digital and intelligent construction technology into the field of substation engineering, and striving to promote the digital and mechanized transformation of power grid infrastructure.
At present, the project of "Intelligent laying technology for secondary cables in substations" has been strictly reviewed by authoritative judges from many countries around the world and finally stood out from many outstanding achievements due to outstanding advantages such as technical originality, engineering practicability and industry leadership, and won the highest honor of the Gold Award in one fell swoop, fully demonstrating the company's scientific and technological innovation strength and international competitiveness in the field of engineering technology.
