韩国中央选举管理委员会4日上午召开全体会议，正式确认共同民主党候选人李在明当选第21届韩国总统，李在明随即开启其总统任期。在4日的中国外交部例行记者会上，有记者提问称，中国有媒体报道称，希望韩国新总统采取平衡的对华政策。中方希望韩国采取什么样的对华外交政策？中方认为韩国新政府上台后，中韩关系会得到改善吗？

South Korea’s National Election Commission held a plenary meeting and officially confirmed that Lee Jae-myung, the candidate from the Democratic Party of Korea, had been elected as the country’s 21st president on Wednesday. Lee immediately began his presidential term following the announcement. 

At the Chinese Foreign Ministry’s regular press conference on Wednesday, a reporter asked: “Some Chinese media reported that it is hoped the new South Korean president will adopt a balanced policy toward China. What kind of China policy does China expect from South Korea? Does China believe that bilateral relations will improve under the new South Korean administration?”

对此，中国外交部发言人林剑表示，中韩关系发展的根本动力源于双方的共同利益，不针对第三方，也不应受第三方因素的影响。中方一贯反对选边站队和阵营对抗，我们愿同韩方一道推动中韩关系健康稳定发展，为两国人民创造更多福祉，为促进地区和平稳定与发展繁荣发挥积极作用。

In response, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian stated that the driving force behind the development of China-South Korea relations lies in their shared interests, which are not targeted at any third party and should not be influenced by third-party factors. China has consistently opposed taking sides and bloc confrontation. 

China is willing to work with South Korea to promote the sound and stable development of bilateral relations, bring greater benefits to the people of both countries, and play a positive role in advancing peace, stability, development, and prosperity in the region, said the spokesperson.
