The Embassy of the Republic of Ecuador in China held an event titled "the Taste of the Other Side," to celebrate the 45th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Ecuador and China in Beijing on June 4.
Prepared by an Ecuadorian chef, the gastronomic meeting also launched a recipe book with typical Ecuadorian dishes with Chinese translation.
The recipes of typical Ecuadorian cuisine were prepared and served in three typical dishes based on lamb, Andean potatoes, and Ecuadorian chocolate.
Ecuadorian Ambassador to China Maria Soledad Cordova welcomed the delegates and highlighted the potential of Ecuadorian gastronomy, the diversity of soups and flavors according to different regions, diversity of products, and climates in Ecuador.
The ambassador noted the embassy's efforts to promote the country's gastronomy to Chinese people.
Meanwhile, the Ecuadorian cocoa and chocolate products were promoted for their unique quality.
In pleasant and traditional Chinese music, the delegates enjoyed the event, feeling the charm of Chinese culture.
