外交部发言人林剑主持6月9日例行记者会。会上有日媒记者提问称：日本政府证实中国航母辽宁舰在日本附近的太平洋海域活动,中方对此有何回应？

At the regular press conference of the Chinese Foreign Ministry hosted by spokesperson Lin Jian on Monday, a reporter from a Japanese media raised a question for Chinese response about the Japanese government confirming the activities of the Chinese aircraft carrier Liaoning in the Pacific waters near Japan. 

林剑对此表示,中国军舰在有关海域活动完全符合国际法和国际惯例。中方一贯奉行防御性国防政策,希望日方客观理性看待。

In response, Lin said that the Chinese warships' activities in related waters completely comply with international law and international practices. China always pursues a national defense policy that is defensive in nature, and we hope that Japan will view this objectively and rationally, Lin said.
