The first meeting of China-US economic, trade consultation mechanism entered its second day on Tuesday (local time) in London, Yuyuantantian, a social media account affiliated with state broadcaster CCTV reported, noting the meeting started in the morning and continued after lunch.

The first meeting opened in London on Monday, attracting global attention. Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng, also a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, attended the meeting with US representatives, the Xinhua News Agency reported on Tuesday. 

Responding to a question over further information about the first meeting of the China-US economic and trade consultation mechanism, which topics China attaches special importance at the meeting and what's China's expectations for the meeting, Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Lin Jian said on Monday's press briefing that China has announced relevant information about the meeting.

"Please stay tuned regarding the details of the consultation between China and the US," Lin said.
