Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei posted on X on Monday that "Those who know the Iranian people and their history know that the Iranian nation isn't a nation that surrenders." Khamenei's statement came after Iran launched a missile attack on an American air base in Qatar on Monday that caused no injuries.

The statement shared by Khamenei also came shortly before US president Donald Trump announced on Truth Social that a ceasefire agreement between Iran and Israel had been reached.

In another post, Khamenei said that "We didn't harm anyone. And we will not accept any harassment from anyone under any circumstances. And we will not submit to anyone's harassment." He added that this is the logic of the Iranian nation.

Following Trump's remark on ceasefire, Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi said on X that "As of now, there is NO 'agreement' on any ceasefire or cessation of military operations."
He added that "provided that the Israeli regime stops its illegal aggression against the Iranian people no later than 4 am Tehran time, we have no intention to continue our response afterwards."
