Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel has agreed to the bilateral ceasefire with Iran in coordination with US President Donald Trump, Associated Press reported on Tuesday.

According to the AP report, Netanyahu said that he had reported to Israel's security cabinet Monday night that Israel had achieved all of its war goals in the 12-day operation against Iran, including removing the threat of Iran's nuclear and ballistic missile programs. 

Israel also damaged Iran's military leadership and several government sites and achieved control over Tehran's skies, Netanyahu also claimed. 

Israel's Airports Authority said the country's airspace has reopened for emergency flights after closing earlier due to an hours long barrage of missiles from Iran, AP reported.

Iranian state media outlet SNN reports that Iran has fired "a last round of missiles" toward Israel before a ceasefire comes into effect, BBC reported. 

President Trump, in a Truth Social post where all letters are capitalized, announced "The ceasefire is now in effect. Please do not violate it!" The post came after his earlier post announcing a ceasefire made between the conflicting parties. 

According to the earlier post, Iran will initiate the ceasefire, followed by Israel 12 hours later, culminating in an official declaration of the war's end at the 24-hour mark.

Before the ceasefire proposal, Iran launched strike on the Al Udeid US airbase in Qatar on Monday following Tehran's threat to retaliate for US airstrikes, Reuters reported on its official X account.
