A passenger ferry carrying 65 people sank in the Bali Strait at around 11:35 pm local time on Wednesday. According to the Chinese Embassy in Indonesia, no Chinese nationals have been involved in the incident so far, according to the CCTV news.
The vessel was carrying 53 passengers, 12 crew members and 22 vehicles. Four people have been confirmed dead. Eight survivors have been found, including seven passengers and one crew member, said the report.
Rescue efforts are underway.
