The Royal Thai Embassy in China held the 2025 Thai Festival in Beijing to mark the 50th anniversary of Thailand-China diplomatic relations from June 28 to 29. The event aimed to bring peoples of China and Thailand closer.

Noting the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Thailand-China diplomatic ties, Thai Ambassador to China Chatchai Viriyavejakul said in his opening speech that "at the same time, Beijing has been selected by the Thai Foreign Ministry to be one of the six flagship Thai Festivals overseas, meaning we are ready to showcase Thailand to the maximum."

Under the unique theme of "Creative Thailand," the festival offered experiences of Thailand's modern creativity through various Thai products and cuisines.

A number of interesting forms of entertainment were featured on the stage throughout the two-day event.

Visitors enjoyed traditional Thai dance performances including the Gypsy dance, Khon dance, and Nora dance. Interactive activities such as a durian peeling demonstration, the Thai traditional dance, and Muay Thai practice sessions invited visitors to gain first-hand experience.

Chaoyang Park, where the festival was held, is the home of the Thai-Chinese Friendship Bell Pavilion, representing the long-standing friendship between the two countries, the ambassador said.

More than 50 booths were set up at the festival, covering education, creativity, agriculture, and cuisine in Thailand.
