When responding to India's announcement about issuing tourist visas to Chinese citizens starting from July 24, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun said on Wednesday that we have noticed this positive move, which facilitates people-to-people exchanges and serves the common interests of all parties.
Guo further noted that the Chinese side is willing to maintain communication and coordination with India to continuously improve the facilitation of people-to-people exchanges between the two countries.
The Embassy of India in China announced via its Sina Weibo account on Wednesday that, starting from July 24, Chinese citizens can apply for a tourist visa to visit India after completing an online application, scheduling an appointment, and personally submitting their passport and other required documents to Indian Visa Application Centers in Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou in South China's Guangdong Province.
