Brasil 247, one of Brazil's most influential news outlets, and the Global Times announced on Tuesday (August 12) a strategic content-sharing partnership. Brazil 247 will feature a dedicated Global Times section with articles directly from the Chinese publication, while the Global Times will launch a Brazil 247 section featuring original reporting from the Brazilian outlet.
The initiative reinforces media cooperation between Global South nations.
Strengthening journalistic and cultural tiesLeonardo Attuch, founder and CEO of Brazil 247, said the partnership marks a significant step toward democratizing global information flows. "We will do our utmost to always provide content of the highest quality, content that will be of interest to Global Times readers," he said.
Fan Zhengwei, President and Editor-in-Chief of the Global Times, emphasized the value of bringing Chinese readers closer to Brazilian and Latin American realities. "We also look forward to seeing how the in-depth reports from Brazil 247 will open new windows for Global Times readers to observe Brazil, revealing unique Latin American perspectives on global issues", he stated.
