According to a report by CNN, US President Donald Trump claimed on September 4 local time that Europe must stop purchasing Russian oil and put economic pressure on China in an attempt to bring about an end to Russia-Ukraine conflict.

在9月5日举行的中国外交部例行记者会上，外交部发言人郭嘉昆在回应外媒记者“中方对此有何评论”的提问时表示，中方在乌克兰危机问题上一贯秉持公正客观的立场，中国不是这场危机的制造者，也不是当事方，我们坚决反对动辄拿中国说事儿，坚决反对对中方施加所谓“经济压力”。

At a regular press conference of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs held on Friday, when responding to a question regarding the matter, spokesperson Guo Jiakun said that China has consistently maintained a fair and objective stance on the Ukraine crisis. China is not the creator of the crisis, nor is it a party involved. “We firmly oppose the practice of frequently targeting China and resolutely oppose the so-called ‘economic pressure’ imposed on China,” the spokesperson added.
