The Center for Chinese Language and Professional Skills is an international education program themed "Chinese Language + Vocational Skills" launched by the Center for Language Education and Cooperation of the Ministry of Education of China in 2021. Jointly established by vocational colleges, enterprises and other institutions, it focuses on cultivating local talents who are proficient in Chinese and master professional skills. Adopting a collaborative model involving government, industry, enterprises and schools, the program covers fields such as e-commerce, numerical control technology and new-energy vehicles. As of August 2025, 35 teaching sites have been set up in 25 countries around the world.

As the first Center for Chinese Language and Professional Skills focusing on the power sector, the newly established Kathmandu Center for Chinese Language and Professional Skills in Nepal is committed to cultivating compound talents for Nepal who have a good command of both Chinese and power technology. The project will give full play to Zhengzhou Electric Power College's advantages in power professional teaching and faculty development, and combine Sinohydro's rich project experience in Nepal to provide high-quality Chinese language education and power skills training for the local area. This will not only provide talent support for Sinohydro's power projects in Nepal, but also offer employment skills training for local young people.
