In the past two days, the 3rd China Vocational Skills Competition, with the theme of "Skills Light Up Your Future", has been held in Zhengzhou, Henan Province.

This competition is hosted by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security of China and organized by the People's Government of Henan Province. Over 3,400 contestants from 35 delegations across the country participated in the competition. A total of 106 competition events were set up, including 66 World Skills Selection events and 40 National Competition selected events.

Among them, competitions in smart manufacturing, high-end equipment, digital technology, and new energy account for more than 50%, fully reflecting the positioning of the competition in serving the national innovation-driven development strategy. It is noteworthy that the competition has set up a special competition for rural revitalization for the first time.

Meanwhile, the competition features four professional technical categories, including artificial intelligence engineering technology, intelligent manufacturing engineering technology, industrial Internet engineering technology, and integrated circuit engineering technology, showcasing the latest trends in the integrated development of technical skills.

The competition centers around skill competitions and adopts an integrated model of "competition, exhibition, performance, and conference". Among them, "performance" refers to the exhibition of unique skills and talents, which is divided into five sections: craftsman education, intangible cultural heritage tourism, smart agriculture, new quality and intelligent manufacturing, and future industries, with 40 on-site exhibition and performance projects of "unique skills and talents".

According to reports, this competition is currently the most comprehensive national-level vocational skills event in China, featuring the highest specifications, the most diverse projects, the largest scale, the highest level, and the most extensive influence. During the event, thousands of contestants staged a wonderful skills "carnival" in Zhengzhou.
