Recently, the 110kV substation for the Yangtze River Delta Computing Power Scheduling Center was successfully energized, injecting new impetus into consolidating the computing power foundation and developing new quality productive forces in the Yangtze River Delta region.

Located in Wujiang District, Suzhou, the Yangtze River Delta Computing Power Scheduling Center is one of the eight hub nodes of the national integrated computing network under China's "East Data, West Computing" project, as well as a major provincial-level project. After its commissioning, the center will serve Suzhou's "1030" system, which consists of 10 industrial clusters and 30 industrial chains. It will improve the computing power density and bearing capacity of the Yangtze River Delta data center cluster, providing a core engine for nurturing new quality productive forces in areas such as large AI models, industrial internet, and AI-driven biopharmaceutical R&D. This will further drive the innovation of the digital economy.

To ensure a reliable power supply for the computing power infrastructure, State Grid Suzhou Power Supply Company customized a 110kV substation power supply solution based on the energy consumption characteristics of the center. During the construction period, the company implemented dynamic progress management and control throughout the process. The project management team stationed on-site for daily supervision, conducted real-time monitoring of construction milestones, dynamically optimized the construction plan, and established an efficient coordination mechanism to fully ensure the project was completed on schedule with high quality.

This project involved the construction of one new 110kV substation, the installation of two 50 MVA transformers, the addition of two 110kV incoming lines and 32 10kV outgoing lines, and the deployment of eight capacitor banks, among other tasks.

Currently, the energization project of the 110kV substation for the first phase of the overall project has been successfully completed. In the follow-up, the local power supply company will cooperate with the second phase of the Computing Power Scheduling Center project, further advance the construction of supporting power grids, optimize the power supply service mechanism, fully support the implementation of the national "East Data, West Computing" strategy, and empower the high-quality development of the digital industrial cluster in the Yangtze River Delta.
