When asked to comment on the US Department of Commerce's adding of several Chinese entities to its export control "Entity List," a spokesperson for China's Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM) said that China has noted the relevant situation and firmly opposes the US move. China urges the US to correct its erroneous practices as soon as possible and will take necessary measures to resolutely safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese entities.

The spokesperson said the US has continuously overstretched the concept of national security, abused export control measures, and arbitrarily exercised long-arm jurisdiction, imposing sweeping sanctions on multiple entities, including Chinese companies. The US move has seriously damaged the legitimate rights and interests of businesses and undermined the security and stability of the global industrial and supply chains.
