Apple CEO Tim Cook appears at LABUBU 10th anniversary exhibition in Shanghai, receives LABUBU gift from POP MART founder Wang Ning

Apple CEO Tim Cook visited Shanghai on Monday afternoon, with his first stop in China being Pop Mart's THE MONSTERS 10th anniversary exhibition, according to a statement Pop Mart sent to the Global Times on Monday.

At the exhibition, POP MART founder Wang Ning and LABUBU artist Kasing Lung interacted warmly with Apple CEO Tim Cook as they toured original LABUBU sketches and a wide range of products. Kasing Lung demonstrated how he creates LABUBU illustrations on an iPad Pro, while Wang presented Cook with a surprise gift—LABUBU, according to the statement.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of LABUBU's creation. To celebrate, POP MART has launched a yearlong global tour for THE MONSTERS, including LABUBU, with the first stop in Shanghai. The exhibition will later travel to several cities such as Beijing, Taipei, Hong Kong, Tokyo, Paris, and New York, Pop Mart said in the statement.
