In response to a question over US President Donald Trump considering "terminating business with China having to do with Cooking Oil" in retaliation for alleged China's action of not purchasing US soybeans, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian said on Wednesday that China's position on addressing China-US economic and trade issues has always been consistent and clear: trade and tariff wars have no winners and are in the interest of no one.

"Both sides should resolve differences through dialogue and consultation based on equality, mutual respect, and mutual benefit," Lin said.
