A recent CNN report said that Lin Chia-lung, head of Taiwan island’s so-called “foreign affairs” department, hosted a banquet at an upscale New York restaurant during the UN General Assembly and invited US officials to attend, however, multiple senior US officials who were invited eventually did not show up.
