A Reuters reporter asked that, Taiwan regional officials said on Wednesday morning that China had set many “additional conditions” for Chinese Taipei’s participation in next year’s Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) meeting, including the one-China principle. 毛宁对此表示，在一个中国原则下作为地区经济体参与APEC，遵循APEC有关谅解备忘录的规定和惯例，这是中国台北参与APEC的政治前提。在这个问题上，中方的立场是明确和坚定的。

In response, Mao stated that participating in APEC as a regional economy under the one-China principle and complying with the relevant provisions and established practices under APEC’s memorandum of understanding are the political prerequisite for Chinese Taipei to take part in APEC. “China’s position on this issue is clear and firm,” the spokesperson said.
