Brasil 247 participated in the event, represented by its founder and editor-in-chief Leonardo Attuch, who was also one of the speakers. In his remarks, Attuch emphasized the importance of strengthening the independent narrative of the Global South and warned about the growing risk of conflict in South America. "Latin America is under threat, and more than ever, it is essential to strengthen the narrative of the Global South," Attuch said.
Cooperation and content exchangeDuring the meeting, participants discussed practical forms of cooperation within the framework of the Global South Media Partners Mechanism, leading to a consensus document outlining shared objectives.
According to the document, participating media outlets will jointly produce and broadcast programs, focusing on topics such as global governance, economy, environment, and culture. The initiative aims to strengthen the Global South narrative through collaborative topic selection, joint reporting, and shared distribution of completed productions among media platforms.
Building a shared news networkThe text highlights that members of the Global South Media Partners Mechanism will make use of the Global South Media Nexus platform, designed to facilitate the efficient exchange of high-quality journalistic materials and premium programming resources. The platform seeks to enhance customized cooperation between outlets, improve content production efficiency, and raise overall quality standards.
Artificial intelligence and technological innovationA key point of the consensus is the promotion of artificial intelligence in media operations, encouraging the sharing of technological advances and the modernization of media management models. The strategy aims to strengthen the technological capabilities of Global South media, improve communication efficiency, and expand their international influence.
