外交部发言人林剑主持11月13日例行记者会。会上有记者提问称：日本首相高市早苗日前发表关于中国大陆对台湾动武可能构成日本“存亡危机事态”的言论。据报道，高市在国会答辩时称，有关言论符合日本政府看法，无意撤回或取消。中方对此有何评论？

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian presided over a regular press conference on November 13. A reporter asked: Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi claimed on Diet hearing that she would not retract her earlier remark that a Taiwan emergency involving the use of military vessels and force from the Chinese mainland could constitute a “survival-threatening situation” for Japan, claiming it aligns with Japanese government’s longstanding view. What is China's comment on this?

林剑对此表示，日本首相高市早苗日前在国会公然发表涉台露骨挑衅言论，暗示武力介入台海的可能性。在中方表达严正交涉和强烈抗议后，还执迷不悟、拒不撤回。上述错误言行严重违背一个中国原则，严重违背中日四个政治文件精神和国际关系基本准则，粗暴干涉中国内政，挑战中方核心利益，侵犯中国主权。中方对此坚决反对、绝不容忍，日方必须立即纠正、收回恶劣言论，否则一切后果必须由日方承担。

In response, Lin said that Takaichi recently openly made provocative remarks on Taiwan question during a Diet session, hinting at the possibility of military intervention in the Taiwan Straits. Even after China lodged stern representations and strong protests, she remained obstinate and refused to retract her statement. “Such erroneous words and deeds seriously violate the one-China principle, run counter to the spirit of the four political documents between China and Japan and the basic norms governing international relations, grossly interfere in China’s internal affairs, challenge China’s core interests, and undermine China’s sovereignty. China firmly opposes and will never tolerate this. Japan must immediately correct its mistake and retract the egregious statement, or it will have to bear all the consequences,” the spokesperson said.

林剑说，今年是中国人民抗日战争暨世界反法西斯战争胜利80周年，也是台湾光复80周年。日本曾对台湾实行殖民统治，犯下罄竹难书的罪行。日本军国主义历史上曾多次以所谓“存亡危机”为借口发动对外侵略，包括以“行使自卫权”为由悍然制造“九一八事变”，挑起侵华战争，给包括中国在内的亚洲乃至世界人民带来深重灾难。今天日本首相高市早苗再提所谓“存亡危机事态”究竟是何居心？是否要重蹈军国主义覆辙？是否要再次同中国人民和亚洲人民为敌？是否企图颠覆战后国际秩序？

The spokesperson further noted that this year marks the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People’s War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War, as well as the 80th anniversary of Taiwan’s restoration. Japan once imposed colonial rule over Taiwan region, committing countless heinous crimes. In history, Japanese militarism used so-called “survival-threatening situations” as a pretext to launch external aggression for many times, including invoking the right of self-defense to trigger the September 18 Incident and start the war of aggression against China, bringing tremendous suffering to the people of Asia and the world, including China.

“Today, when Takaichi again raises the so-called ‘survival-threatening situation,’ what exactly is her intention? Is Japan attempting to repeat the old path of militarism? Is it seeking to again turn against the Chinese and other Asian peoples? Is it attempting to overturn the post-war international order?” Lin asked.

林剑表示，台湾是中国的台湾，以何种方式解决台湾问题、实现国家统一，是中国人自己的事，不容任何外部势力干涉。日本当政者妄图介入台海事务，既是对国际正义的粗暴践踏、对战后国际秩序的公然挑衅，也是对中日关系的严重破坏。如日方胆敢武力介入台海局势，将构成侵略行为，中方必将迎头痛击。我们将坚决行使《联合国宪章》和国际法赋予的自卫权，坚定捍卫国家主权和领土完整。我们正告日方必须深刻反省历史罪责，立即停止干涉中国内政、挑衅越线的错误言行，不要在台湾问题上玩火，玩火者必自焚！

“Taiwan is China’s Taiwan,” Lin stressed. “How the Taiwan question is resolved and national reunification achieved is China’s internal affair that brooks no interference by any external forces. The attempt by Japan’s ruling authorities to meddle in Taiwan-related affairs constitutes a flagrant trampling on international justice, an open provocation to the post-war international order, and a grave undermining of China–Japan relations,” the spokesperson noted. 

“If the Japanese side dares to intervene in the Taiwan Straits situation by military means, it would constitute an act of invasion, and will be met with strong fightback from China. We will resolutely exercise our right of self-defense under the UN Charter and international law, and firmly safeguard our national sovereignty and territorial integrity. We sternly warn the Japanese side to deeply reflect on its historical crimes, immediately stop interfering in China’s internal affairs and making wrongful and provocative remarks that cross the line. Those playing with fire on the Taiwan question will get burned,” Lin added.
