When asked to comment on that Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Russia will introduce visa-free travel for Chinese citizens in the very near future, and on whether China expects to see more Chinese tourists visiting Russia, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said on Wednesday that China attaches high importance to the facilitation of people-to-people exchanges between China and Russia. 

China and Russia are each other's biggest neighbors. Mutual visa exemption will further boost people-to-people and cultural exchanges between our two countries which serves the common interests of our two peoples, Mao added.
