Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun said on Tuesday that China's competent authorities have repeatedly explained the export control measures on rare earths-related items, and China is handling the relevant issues in accordance with laws and regulations.
Guo made the remarks when asked whether recent visits by multiple European leaders to China, during which they expressed concerns about China's supply of rare earth elements to Europe, were intended to secure commitments on stable shipments or general export licenses, and asked to comment on Japanese media reports claiming that due to a diplomatic dispute between Beijing and Tokyo, China's rare earth exports to Japan have been delayed, domestic news outlet ThePaper reported.
