NEW YORK, December 11, 2025 - The prestigious 2025 Platts Global Energy Awards, often described as the "Oscars" of the energy industry, were held in New York. Li Zhenguo, founder and CTO of LONGi, was honored with the "Lifetime Achievement Award," becoming the first recipient from China's photovoltaic industry. Simultaneously, LONGi also secured the "Corporate Impact Award," making it a major highlight of the evening.

Organized by S&P Global Energy, a world-leading energy and commodities information provider with over a century of history, the Platts Global Energy Awards aim to recognize individuals and organizations demonstrating exceptional leadership, innovation, and influence in the energy sector.

Since entering the solar industry in 1995, Li Zhenguo has been dedicated to the research and development of monocrystalline silicon and related products. The low-carbon technologies he championed have been widely adopted across the industry. Under his leadership, LONGi has grown from a start-up into a global PV technology leader, achieving breakthroughs in areas such as wafer and cell/module efficiency improvements, green hydrogen production, and integrated "PV + storage" systems.

Li Zhenguo said that this honor belongs not only to him personally but also to all his colleagues and partners who have tirelessly worked for LONGi and the global energy transition. He highlighted that LONGi has always been committed to reducing photovoltaic costs, enhancing conversion efficiency, and promoting the large-scale application of renewable energy.

Today, the company is extending these efforts into deep decarbonization areas such as green hydrogen, green methanol, and green ammonia. "Without these extraordinary LONGi people, there would be no LONGi today," he said.

Against the backdrop of a global accelerated push toward net-zero emissions, Li Zhenguo reaffirmed LONGi's commitment to scientific development, responsible innovation, and long-term industrial collaboration. The award not only recognizes his personal vision but also underscores LONGi's steadfast resolve to build a greener, more resilient world.

At the ceremony, Eric Luo, vice president of LONGi, accepted the "Corporate Impact Award" on behalf of the company, stating, "At LONGi, we believe the meaning of technology is to improve life." In recent years, while driving PV technological innovation, LONGi has continued to expand its global manufacturing footprint, striving to bring clean energy to more regions.

In Mozambique, LONGi collaborated with partners on a philanthropic PV project for a maternal and child hospital. By donating high-efficiency BC (Back-Contact) PV modules and constructing a rooftop PV system, the project not only provided the hospital with stable, clean electricity but also ensured medical water supply through a PV-powered water pump system. Since beginning operations, the hospital has safely delivered 150 newborns. The introduction of solar power has significantly reduced operational costs and enhanced the reliability of medical services.

These two major awards represent high recognition not only of the industry contributions of Li Zhenguo, founder and CTO of LONGi, but also of a comprehensive affirmation of LONGi's technological innovation, global impact, and sustainable development practices. In the global journey of energy transition, LONGi will continue to serve as a leader, enabling solar energy to illuminate a more inclusive and sustainable future.
