Russian scientists have presented a 70-qubit quantum computer prototype developed as part of Rosatom's Quantum Project, a national program aimed at advancing quantum technologies. This is reported by "Strana Rosatom."
Researchers from the Russian Academy of Sciences report that the experimental system has achieved high operational accuracy, with single-qubit operations reaching 99.98 percent and two-qubit operations 96.1 percent. Experts say these results are essential for scaling up quantum computing systems.
According to the Lebedev Physical Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences (LPI RAS), Russia plans to develop a medium-scale quantum computer by 2030, incorporating advanced error-correction mechanisms and complex quantum algorithms. These efforts are being carried out as part of the country's broader quantum technology roadmap.
