By Brasil 247 - Brazil's Mines and Energy Minister Alexandre Silveira met Tuesday (Jan 20) in Shanghai with executives from Envision Energy, a global leader in integrated energy transition solutions, to present Brazil as one of the world's most competitive platforms for investments in clean energy, industrial decarbonization and new low-carbon production chains.

The meeting, reported by Brasil 247, is part of the Brazilian government's broader strategy to attract long-term international capital by combining market scale, a largely renewable electricity mix, legal certainty and public policies aimed at regulatory predictability and sustainable expansion of the energy sector.

During the talks, Silveira outlined a portfolio of strategic opportunities spanning sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), battery energy storage systems (BESS), green hydrogen and green ammonia, as well as large-scale wind generation supported by high-capacity turbines.

According to the minister, Brazil now holds unique conditions to lead integrated industrial projects capable of serving both domestic demand and the growing global appetite for clean energy and decarbonized products.

Silveira also underscored that the strategic partnership between Brazil and China goes beyond productive investment, fostering closer ties among the private sector, academia and research centers and building a cooperative environment for science, technology and innovation. In his view, such an integrated model is essential to generate skilled jobs, income and tangible improvements in quality of life in both countries.

In that context, the minister invited Envision's executives to deepen the company's presence in Brazil through visits to the Ministry of Mines and Energy and other federal agencies under the leadership of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, while also taking part in key initiatives of Brazil's national energy agenda, including the country's first auction dedicated to battery storage systems (BESS).

Envision Energy is widely recognized for integrating next-generation wind turbine manufacturing, advanced energy storage, artificial intelligence-driven digital solutions, and complete project delivery in green hydrogen and sustainable fuels. The company has become one of the leading corporate players shaping the new global energy economy.

Envision's entry into Brazil began in January 2026, with the supply of 630 megawatts of wind turbines to Casa dos Ventos and a long-term services contract, which was presented as a concrete sign of confidence in the Brazilian market. Market estimates cited in the report indicate the combined equipment supply and associated services could represent an economic commitment worth hundreds of millions of dollars, potentially exceeding $800 million over the lifecycle of the contract.

Company executives told the minister they are interested in expanding operations in Brazil, bringing cutting-edge technology to support the country's economic and social development, strengthen local production chains and accelerate the energy transition with innovative and sustainable solutions.

For Silveira, the current moment calls for speed and scale. "Brazil no longer debates potential. It debates scale, competitiveness and global leadership. We are ready to receive robust investments, generate shared value and lead the energy transition in a safe, sustainable and economically viable way," he said.
