"The 220 kV Ⅰ and Ⅱ Yifeng Lines are situated in Lijiazhai township, featuring a relatively high altitude. Due to the ongoing snowfall, vehicle access to the area has been rendered unavailable. We can conduct real-time monitoring of on-site conditions through this system, which provides a reliable basis for subsequent decision-making," stated Zhang Lei, a staff member of the Centralized Transmission Monitoring Center under the Transmission Operation and Maintenance Center.

The State Grid Xinyang Power Supply Company initiated the construction of the Transmission Panoramic Monitoring Platform in May 2025. To date, a total of 3,073 sets of online monitoring devices have been put into service, capable of automatically detecting external damage hazards such as mountain fires, bird-related risks, and cranes in the vicinity of transmission lines. The system collects on-site feedback images every 30 minutes and performs AI-based analysis, enabling real-time oversight of the operational status of 182 core power transmission lines in the region. Guided by the hidden danger points identified by the platform, inspection personnel can conduct targeted and precise disposal, significantly enhancing the pertinence of line inspections and substantially improving inspection efficiency.
