The United States and Russia agreed on Thursday to reestablish high-level military-to-military dialogue in Abu Dhabi, according to a statement released by the US European Command.

The dialogue channel was suspended in the fall of 2021 prior to the outbreak of the Russia-Ukraine conflict, the statement said.

The reestablishment followed meetings held in the United Arab Emirates' capital involving Alexus G. Grynkewich, commander of US European Command, and senior Russian and Ukrainian military officials, it added.

The United States, Russia, and Ukraine held talks on Wednesday and Thursday in Abu Dhabi, focusing on efforts to resolve the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
