On the joyous occasion of the Spring Festival, I extend my warmest greetings to the people of China and to the readers and viewers of Global Times.
The Spring Festival is a time of renewal, reunion and hope. In this Year of the Horse, which symbolizes vitality, perseverance, and forward momentum, we are reminded of the strength that comes from resilience and purposeful progress.
This year holds special significance for Pakistan and China as we celebrate the 75th anniversary of the establishment of our diplomatic relations. Our two sides have made plans to mark this important milestone befittingly. We began the celebration right in the first week of January this year. This occasion reflects the enduring nature of our all-weather strategic cooperative partnership, built on mutual trust, shared aspirations, and unwavering friendship.
Over the past seven and a half decades, Pakistan-China relations have stood as a role model of stability in an evolving and often turbulent international landscape. Our cooperation has continued to deepen across diplomacy, development, connectivity, and people-to-people exchanges, guided by a shared vision of peace, security and development.
At a time when the global environment is marked by uncertainty, economic pressures, and complex geopolitical challenges, Pakistan and China remain committed to promoting the time-tested values of multilateralism, dialogue, mutual respect and win-win cooperation.
We believe that collaboration, rather than confrontation, is a fundamental pre-requisite to address global challenges and harness opportunities for everyone.
At the dawn of the Chinese New Year, Pakistan renews its resolve to working even more closely with Chinese friends to further foster mutual trust; deepen strategic communication, advance practical cooperation, accelerate economic growth and contribute positively to the shaping of a fairer and equitable UN-centered global order that delivers peace, development and security to all.
I wish the people of China lots of happiness, good health, and much success in the Year of the Horse. May this Spring Festival bring renewed confidence, harmony, and shared progress to us all.
