When asked to confirm reports from some travel agencies and ticketing platforms that the train service between Beijing and Pyongyang will resume this Thursday, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jikun said on Tuesday that China and the North Korea are friendly neighbors, and maintaining regular passenger train operations is of great significance for facilitating people-to-people exchanges between the two side. He added that China supports the relevant authorities of both countries in strengthening communication and creating more convenient conditions for bilateral travel.
