In March, Huaibin appears full of life: at the Jiaxiang Parrot Breeding Base in Huaibin county, Xinyang city, Henan Province, rows of breeding facilities stretch into the distance, with ventilation and climate-control systems running efficiently. Flocks of parrots dance and sing, filling the air with their vivacious sounds. Meanwhile, inside the base, technicians from the local power supply company are carefully checking potential electricity hazards to keep this "golden" industry running smoothly.

A brilliant example of the booming pet economy, parrot breeding is gaining popularity thanks to its visual appeal and interactive nature. Covering an area of over 3,000 square meters, the Jiaxiang Breeding Base focuses on the artificial-rearing parrot industry. Due to the large-scale application of intelligent temperature control, ventilation, and incubation equipment, the power load of the base has significantly increased, placing higher requirements for the stability and quality of power supply. 

Industrial prosperity goes hand in hand with electricity. In order to establish a solid foundation for the development of the characteristic aquaculture industry, the local power supply company has taken the initiative to accurately meet the electricity demand of the base and fully implement the rural power grid transformation and upgrading project. By installing a new 10 kV insulated line, the power supply radius has been effectively shortened to approximately 500 meters, and the configuration of the distribution station area has been optimized, achieving dual power supply and installing a "stabilizer" for industrial development.

At the same time, the power supply station innovatively establishes a "grid based" service mechanism, extending its service reach to the fields. The staff regularly carry out special inspections such as infrared temperature measurement and partial discharge detection, achieving early detection and treatment of hidden dangers, providing all-weather and zero distance "power escort" for intelligent breeding, and ensuring efficient operation of breeding equipment without any worries.

A single flower does not make a season, but many thriving industries can transform a region. In recent years, specialty sectors like parrot breeding have become a key driver of rural revitalization in Huaibin county. The Jiaxiang Breeding Base has seized policy opportunities, and is continuing its expansion and optimizing processes and strengthening standards to promote the transformation of parrot breeding from small-scale breeding to a more standardized, large-scale, and technology-driven model.
