China and the US reached important consensus on maintaining the stability of economic and trade relations, and China stands ready to work with the US to implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, and continuously lengthen the list of cooperation based on the principles of equality, respect and mutual benefit, so as to achieve mutual benefit and win‑win outcomes, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun said on Friday.

Guo made the remarks while responding to a question by a reporter from a US media outlet over the status of export licenses of US beef, citing a Reuters report.

According to a Reuters report on Thursday, citing Chinese customs data, the export licenses of hundreds of US beef processing plants to China had just been renewed after being suspended for more than a year, but now the status is shown as "expired" again. 

"As for the specific issue you mentioned, I would refer you to the competent authorities," Guo said.
