6.3-magnitude earthquake strikes off Japan's Miyagi: JMA

An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 6.3 struck off Miyagi Prefecture, northeastern Japan, on Friday, the country's weather agency said.
No immediate injuries or damage have been reported.
The temblor occurred at 8:22 p.m. local time at a depth of 50 km, measuring lower 5 on Japan's seismic scale of 7 in the hardest-hit areas in Miyagi Prefecture, said the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA).
The quake's epicenter was located off the coast of Miyagi at a latitude of 38.9 degrees north and a longitude of 142.1 degrees east.
No tsunami warning was issued, according to the JMA.
