Club Med, the French brand which started in 1950 specializing in all-inclusive holidays, announced in June its relaunch of Club Med La Pointe aux Canonniers, the brand's resort in Mauritius. The renovation costs amounted to 42 million euros ($47.67 million), featuring newly designed rooms, a Zen area for adults and new facilities for children.

Located along the white sandy shores of Grand Bay, featuring the authentic Mauritian style, Club Med La Pointe aux Canonniers caters to the needs of families with an all-inclusive resort experience.

"This is a beautiful location," said Henri Giscard d'Estaing, president of Club Med. "This place is exceptional because it's very rare to be able to sit on one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, have meals and party in the evening."

He also pointed out that there have been considerable changes in the Chinese market considering that the needs of Chinese customers have greatly evolved in the past 15 years.

"While traditionally the Chinese guests were more passionate about tours, with the idea of seeing as many places as possible in the shortest period of time, now the millennial families want to combine relaxing and experimental holidays with discovery," he said. "They want to stay in one place as long as they have things to discover."

The resort offers water-skiing, wakeboarding, sailing, paddleboarding, archery and more, making it a place where people can truly enjoy holidays, which is now the expectation of Chinese families, he added.
