Chinese drama The Untamed, starring Chinese actors Xiao Zhan and Wang Yibo, has proven so popular overseas, including Thailand and South Korea, that hundreds of thousands of fans attended a fan meet in Bangkok on Saturday. The cast, crew and others donated 600,000 Thai baht ($19, 678) to the people in Ubon Ratchathani Province, which was hit by floods. The charity gained a lot of praise from Chinese and Thai fans.

On Sunday, a South Korean TV station announced that The Untamed will air in South Korea. The news quickly became a hot topic on China's Twitter-like Sina Weibo, getting more than 230 million views in just a few hours. Many South Korean fans showed their excitement for the news, saying they hope an air date can be announced soon.

"We look forward to Chinese culture being shared in more countries," Chinese netizen Frankie34 commented on Sina Weibo.
