After defeating Priscilla Hertati Lumban Gaol of Indonesia in the women's atomweight division at the Inside the Matrix II event in Singapore on Friday, China's mixed martial artist Meng Bo said she is seeking to claim the One Championship world title.

"My goal in the One Championship is to win a world title," Meng told reporters.

"Athletes in this division are pretty competitive, but I am eager to meet them and even beat them."

Canadian-American martial artist Angela Lee is the current title holder in the division, but is currently not competing due to pregnancy.

"Lee is a respectful competitor and I will wait patiently for her return to the cage," Meng said.

At the Singapore Indoor Stadium on Friday night, Meng finished her opponent Gaol, a two-time World Wushu Championships medalist who is highly regarded for her stand-up arsenal, with some impressive punches for a 86-second KO win.

With the victory, Meng improved her professional mixed martial arts record to 15-5 and may have earned an invite to One Championship's atomweight world Grand Prix in 2021.

Meng remains the only female fighter to have defeated Chinese female fighter Zhang Weili, who is the current UFC Women's Strawweight Champion.
