Chinese President Xi Jinping said Tuesday that China and Chile should carry forward their traditional pioneering spirit and usher in a more splendid era of their comprehensive strategic partnership.

Xi made the remarks in a telephone conversation with his Chilean counterpart, Sebastian Pinera.
