Tired of simple, indistinct modern furniture? If so, you should go to Lily's Antiques to get an exclusive, classic piece.

Located at No.69 on Gaobeidian Furniture Road, Chaoyang district, it is among the largest antique dealers and most liked of furniture shops in Beijing.

The items for sale in this gigantic establishment not only include Chinese antiques but also European furniture, Thai artifacts, Indian sculptures and Persian carpets. The displayed items are upgraded daily and created by experienced designers.

There are plenty of furniture shops along the street, yet Lily's Antiques remains the most popular one and this is for good reason.

"I have my own supply channels in China and overseas," said Quan Lili, owner of Lily's Antiques.

"All the goods in my store are selected by my antique and furniture dealer acquaintances, who have been in this business for decades. They know the trends in fashion, the needs of the consumers and the quality of the products. Thus the supplies are guaranteed to meet the demands in the market."

Apart from exclusive supplies, Lily's Antiques also has its own design team, who create unique works, as well as offer a customized service.

"This is one of our most popular businesses," said Quan. "Customized furniture not only means we produce furniture with the owners' names on it, but also furniture containing the owners' personality. We welcome our customers to our workshops and they can observe how we work."

But this does not mean Lily's Antiques will accept any order. "We are a responsible store, for ourselves and for consumers," Quan said. "We will only accept those blueprints that we are certain will produce the best outcome."

According to Quan, qualified staff is also a determining factor of the shop's success. "They are well trained and speak good English. At the same time they are not overbearing, offering help when necessary but not being pushy," she noted.

Just like what Quan said, shopping in Lily's Antiques is a completely different experience compared to shopping in other places, as the staff won't persuade you to just buy anything. You can enjoy looking around without any pressure.

"Our customers are our first priority, not profit," said Quan.
