French Prime Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault will make an official visit to Thailand on February 4 and 5 to further strengthen the ties between the two countries, Bangkok Post online reported on Tuesday.

Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra sent an invitation to Prime Minister Ayrault after her visit to France back in June 2012.

Ayrault will be the first French prime minister to visit Thailand in seven years.
