The National Little Birch Tree Dance Troupe of Russia @ National Centre for the Performing Arts

Many Chinese people born in 1950s and 60s have strong memories of Russian traditions in music and dance. Reigniting those nostalgic thoughts are the lithe and beautiful women of the National Little Birch Tree Dance Troupe who float gracefully about the stage in traditional long, flowing cardinal-red gowns. Budding birch branches - the beloved tree of Russia - in hand, the dainty dancers are a welcome sign of spring's approaching arrival.
