Nippon Paint launched an automotive coating technology revolution
The first automotive coating line in China that integrates PN1400 E-coat technology, IPP primer-less technology and 2K Generation III Clear coat technology was put into use at Dongfeng Peugeot Citroen in Wuhan, Hubei Province. BKNP Automotive Coatings (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., provides products and supporting services, including E-coat, Basecoat and 2K Clear coat products to the paint line of this automotive production plant, the capacity of which is estimated at 300,000 vehicles annually.

These technologies will not only have superior performance but also increase the value proposition to our clients. It will also significantly contribute to VOC emission reduction and energy conservation," said Michael Yang, president of Nippon Paint China Industrial Use Unit. The introduction of these technologies at this painting line positions Nippon Paint as a leading integrator of green technologies in China. It certainly ushers in a new era of energy conservation and environmental protection for automotive coating technology.
