Two kinds of snacks at Xidan Department Store have been removed from the shelves after they were found to contain excessive sulfur dioxide, the Beijing food safety office announced this week.

The snacks are pineapple bars and cherry tomatoes produced by the Guangdong-based Tongxin food company. Consumers can demand a full refund by presenting the receipts and the packaging of the food they got from the store.
