It's not just office workers who were forced to work in sweltering without air conditioning over the last few days. Polar bears had to as well.

A post on Sina Weibo accusing the Beijing Zoo of abusing polar bears by forcing them stay outdoors during hot weather.

"Old polar bears were ordered outside while the younger bears were enjoying the cool air-conditioned air indoors," said the post. In response, the zoo explained that all bears are taking turns outside according to a schedule, the Beijing Youth Daily reported.
