A railway station in Berkshire, a county to the west of London has been closed for several hours after a woman and a child were hit and killed by a train Tuesday morning.

Local police said they were called Tuesday morning at about 9:45 a.m. to Slough station, while paramedics were also dispatched to the station and pronounced two people have died at the scene.

Police was still identifying the two, and the age and gender of the young child is still unknown, local media reported.

Local police said the incident was currently being treated as "suspicious", but detectives believed there was no third party involvement.

Some rail services via this station have been affected, and delays are expected to continue until at least 6 p.m..
