Following New York, Shanghai and more than 20 other cities around the world, ReedPop's popular Comic Con is finally coming to the Chinese capital this June, organizers announced Wednesday. Titled the Beijing Comic Convention (BJCC), the convention will feature some of the latest comic books and comic related films, TV shows and merchandise.

More than just fair for selling comic-related merchandise, the convention will also include activities for fans such as a cosplay competition, panels and fan meets.

More than 20 special guests have already been confirmed, including artist Jim Lee (Justice League and Superman/Batman series), sculptor and concept artist Brian Muir (Alien, Star Wars, Harry Potter and Thor) and actress Ming-na Wen (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.).

For fans of Asian comics, Japanese artists such as Masami Yuki (Mobile Police) and South Korean comic pop stars like Cho Seok will also attend the convention.

This year's BJCC has also prepared a full calendar for gamers, who can enjoy some of the most popular games such as the newest Street Fighter.

A producer of pop culture events, ReedPOP became famous after holding the New York Comic Convention in 2006. Last year, they organized the first comic con for China in Shanghai.

This year's two-day Beijing convention is scheduled for June 9 and 10, right around the Dragon Boat Festival. Children under 12 get in free, with a limit of two children per adult.
