The first all-night services on London's Underground will be launched in August, the city's new mayor said Monday, despite union protests against the move.
The 24-hour service on Friday and Saturday nights begins on two train lines on August 19 before a wider rollout.
Sadiq Khan, who was elected London's mayor earlier this month, said the service will create "more jobs and opportunities for all Londoners."
Round-the-clock services were due to start in 2015 but were delayed by labor disagreements.
