Edmund Ho Hau Wah, male, ethnic Han, born in Macao in March 1955, native of Panyu, Guangdong Province, with a university education in York University in Toronto.

Vice-chairperson of the 12th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC).

1969 Went to Canada for study.

1978 Obtained a bachelor degree in business administration from York University, Toronto, Canada

1981 Qualified as a chartered auditor and certified public accountant in Canada

1983 Executive director and general manager of Tai Fung Bank  in Macao (till 1999)

1985 Chairman of The Macau Association of Banks (ABM)  (till 1999)

1986 Vice president  of Macao Chamber of Commerce (till 1999)

1988 Vice president of the Macao Legislative Council (till 1999), vice-chairman of the Drafting Committee for the Basic Law of the Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR)  of China

1989 Vice-chairman of the Consultative Committee for the Basic Law of the Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR) of China

1993 Vice chairman of the All-China Industry and Commerce Federation

1997 Vice chairman of the All-China Industry and Commerce Federation

1998 Assumed the position as vice chairman of the Preparatory Committee for the Macao Special Administrative Region (SAR)

1999-2004 Elected the first Chief Executive of Macao SAR

2004-2009 Re-elected Chief Executive of Macao SAR

2010-2013 Vice-chairperson of the 11th CPPCC National Committee
