- Soak rice for 10 minutes before cooking. This will effectively reduce cooking time and save 10 percent of electricity used to cook the rice. A family can save up to 4.5 kWh of electricity per year, and cut 4.3 kg of carbon dioxide emissions.
- If 180 million urban families in China soak rice before cooking it, a total of 800 million kWh of electricity can be saved each year, and cut 780,000 tons of carbon dioxide emission.

Global warming has brought about the frequency and intensity of typhoons, droughts and flood, as well as the acceleration of glacier melting and species becoming extinct. The cause of global warming is carbon dioxide (CO2) emitted by the consumption of fossil fuels, such as coal and petroleum. This gas is trapped in the atmosphere and causes temperatures to rise.

To save the globe and our beautiful planet, we promote an environmental life with a low-carbon footprint. Let us start with the little things in life!

Remember the formula:
1 kWh electricity = 0.4 kg coal + 4 liters water + 1 kg carbon dioxide + 0.03kg sulfur dioxide
