Some 703 cases involving corrupt officials were cracked because residents tipped off authorities - and not anonymously, accounting for 30 percent of the city's cases this year.

Most of the cases involved real estate, medical and health services, and education.

More than 225 of these cases were handled by authorities from last June to May, up 10 percent compared to the previous year.
